Polyester Webbing And Why It Was Printed

Polyester takes print rather than dye, and print stays put where dye migrates and fades. Printing also keeps the strap at one uniform thickness, with no sewn-on fabric layer to bunch where the harness crosses under the front legs.

The Ring That Takes The Pull

The chromed steel D ring is the load bearing part and it sits on the back, so a leaning dog loads the chest rather than the throat. Everything else, buckles and small fittings, is eco friendly plastic to keep the weight down.

Chest Girth, Measured Behind The Legs

Size is set by chest girth, not by weight or breed. Run a soft tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs, and read it with the dog standing.

XL is offered as well. The maker's chart stops at large, so there is no published chest range for that size.

Orange comes as the harness alone or with a matching leash. The size you choose sets the harness; the leash is one length either way.

Two Situations This Does Not Cover

A dog that reverses out of its gear needs the neck strap a step in does not have, and a dog that pulls through the whole walk needs a front ring to redirect it. A back ring gives a puller a fixed point to lean against.

Should I measure over a winter coat? Measure the dog as it will be dressed. A thick coat can add an inch of girth, which is enough to move you up a size.

Does the fit need resetting every time it goes on? No. Once the buckle is set to your dog, the harness goes on and comes off at the same setting.

How do I clean printed webbing without dulling it? Wipe it with a damp cloth. Soaking and scrubbing are what lift a print off a strap.
