Product Type: Door Mats

An eagle across the wide twenty-four by thirty-six inch mat. A bird with this wingspan needs the larger format to read as anything other than cropped.

Scale Is The Point Here

  • Wingspan needs width. Compressed into a small rectangle the subject loses its shape. Three feet gives the wings somewhere to go.
  • Detail survives the felt. Feather work stays legible because the dye sits inside the fiber rather than on a surface that scuffs.
  • A wide mat catches more. More surface under the door means more dirt stopped before it reaches the floor.

A Lodge Or Cabin Door

This is a mat for a hunting lodge, a cabin porch, or a house where the front door faces open land.

It suits a double door or a broad step, where a smaller mat leaves bare boards on either side.

Cleaning Takes Two Minutes

  • Do hose it, or use a power washer
  • Do sweep it with a broom for dry dirt
  • Do vacuum on the floor setting
  • Do spot clean with a mild cleaner
  • Skip anything that foams heavily, since the residue holds new dirt
  • Skip the stiff brush, which lifts the nap
  • Skip the carpet setting on the vacuum, built to pull pile up
  • Skip bleach entirely

How It Handles Weather

Built to take outdoor conditions, and it will. The single variable worth managing is prolonged unshaded exposure, which softens any dyed felt across seasons.

Set back under a roof or an overhang the image holds its contrast for years rather than months.

Worth knowing: hold a pressure washer wand back rather than close. Close range pressure cuts into felt and leaves a visible track that no amount of washing removes.

Questions About The Eagle Mat

Is this too large for a covered porch?
Rarely. A covered porch is usually wider than the door it serves, which is exactly the situation this size is made for.

Does the artwork show the whole bird?
The composition uses the full width, which is why it was worth putting on the wide format rather than the small one.

How much does it weigh?
Enough that it does not need fixing down. The layered build plus rubber gives it real mass for its thickness.

Can I put it over an outdoor rug?
The stamped rubber grips hard surfaces best. Over a woven rug it will move, so a hard step or a deck board is better.
