• A tank is seen from behind more than a shirt is. Nothing covers the shoulders, so the back panel is fully visible whenever you are not facing someone.
• Printing the cloth first makes it free. Because the fabric is printed before the panels are cut, covering the back costs nothing extra and there is no reason to leave it plain.
• Colour that will not lift. The dye is in the fibre, so the back panel takes shoulder-bag friction without wearing pale.

Light Cloth, Real Stretch

95% polyester with 5% elastane, composition varying by up to 1%, at 6.19 oz per square yard, weight varying by up to 5%. The stretch works in both directions, recovering on the cross and lengthwise grains, which on a tank means the shoulder straps hold their width instead of stretching narrow.

Bare Shoulders And Sun

A tank leaves the shoulders exposed, and the fabric that does cover them is a light knit rather than a barrier. This is not sun protection, and on a long day outdoors the shoulders need the same attention they would need in no shirt at all.

Teal And Rust Against Skin

The pairing is warm and cool at once, so it works across skin tones rather than favouring one. Below it, keep to neutrals: white, stone, black or indigo. The print already carries two directions of colour and a third turns it busy.

Back Print, Straps And Fit

Is the back print the same as the front? It is the same artwork continuing round, not a mirrored copy. The design carries across the shoulder rather than restarting at the seam.

Will the straps stretch out? Not with cool washing and air drying. Recovery is built into the fabric; what defeats it is heat from a tumble dryer.
