What A Concealed Zip Actually Changes

• Nothing catches. A zip sitting in the seam has no teeth or pull exposed to snag knitwear or mark a leather surface.
• Both faces are usable. With no zip across the back, the cushion can be turned and leaned against from either side.
• The cover still comes off. Concealed does not mean sealed. The case unzips for washing exactly as an exposed one would.

The Case And What Is Inside It

100% pre-shrunk polyester at 8.1 oz per square yard, woven with a linen texture, and a shape-retaining polyester insert is included. Pre-shrunk matters on a cushion cover more than on clothing: a case that shrinks even slightly stops fitting the insert it came with, and the corners go soft.

Weathered Colour On A Textured Weave

Clochard Grunge is a weathering design, imitating aged surfaces rather than trying to look new, and a linen-feel weave suits it better than a smooth face would. The texture in the cloth and the texture in the artwork reinforce each other instead of one flattening the other.

Two Different Care Instructions

The case goes in the machine; the insert is handwash only. That split is the thing to remember, because a machine cycle is what breaks down the loft in a polyester insert and leaves a cushion looking permanently deflated.

Answers Before You Order

Where exactly is the zip? In the seam of the case rather than across the back panel, so it is invisible when the cushion is in place.

Can I wash the whole cushion together? No. Unzip and wash the case only. The insert needs handwashing to keep its shape.

Is the deep red closer to burgundy or to scarlet? Burgundy. It is a dark, aged red that sits with the weathering rather than a bright clean one.
