This design carries two subjects at once, watermelon and ice cream, where most prints carry one. A print with two motifs is a composition problem rather than a printing one, and it changes how the design reads on a panel this small.

How Busy Prints Age

The failure mode of a busy print is not distortion but muddiness: as tones lose separation the whole panel blurs into one. That is a property of the printing layer, and there is no layer here, since sublimation dyes the fiber itself and keeps close tones apart. What actually ages is the knit, and a relaxed knit on a busy print is much harder to notice than on a plain one, which is a small bonus rather than a reason to skip the care routine.
