Fine detail disappears in two ways: the print degrades, or the fabric holding it does. The first is handled by the print method, since dye inside a fiber has nothing to flake off. The second is the one worth managing, because a sagging knit blurs detail simply by stretching the space between strokes. That is why the care routine matters more on a detailed design than on a plain one.
