Product Type: Decorative Pillows

A flamingo on a fourteen inch square pillow, pink standing out against a light ground. The most saturated color in the compact format.

Pink That Stays Pink

  • Fixed dyes hold the saturation. Pink is the color most likely to go chalky on outdoor fabric. Color fast dyeing is what stops it.
  • Small format, big color. At fourteen inches the pillow is an accent, which is exactly how a strong color works best in a room.
  • Works straight away. There is no filler to buy and no cover to stretch over anything; it comes out of the box finished.

A Coastal Or Garden Seat

This suits a covered deck, a sunroom chair, or a bench under a pergola where the color has somewhere to live.

Set beside a neutral cushion it registers as a chosen accent instead of visual noise.

Looking After It

  • Do treat marks in place with a damp cloth and a mild cleaner
  • Do work from the outside of a mark inward
  • Do air dry it
  • Do shake it by hand every few weeks to restore the loft
  • Skip the washing machine; the sham and insert are one piece
  • Skip direct heat, which sets stains and stiffens fabric
  • Skip leaving it out in heavy rain

Damp Versus Downpour

Water resistant means it sheds a shower and dries without a smell. It does not mean it can be submerged.

A covered position handles a wet week without complaint; open weather asks more of the fill than it can give back.

Worth knowing: keep it off hot metal furniture in summer. Sustained heat from a sun-baked frame can mark polyester in a way that sunlight alone does not.

Questions About The Flamingo Pillow

How strong is the pink in daylight?
Seen from the far side of a room it still registers, which is exactly the intent. Indoors it looks slightly deeper than in full sun.

Is fourteen inches too small for a sofa?
On a deep sofa it works as a front layer rather than as the main cushion. On a bench or a chair it stands alone.

Does the fabric feel like outdoor material?
It has the smooth hand of coated polyester rather than the roughness of canvas, so it is comfortable indoors too.

Can the cover be washed separately?
No. There is no removable layer, so marks are treated where they are and the pillow is left to dry in air.

How heavy is the pillow?
Light enough to move around a seat easily, heavy enough not to blow off a chair in an ordinary breeze.
