  • A 95% cotton gusset under the outer knit, which is where the comfort of any pair is actually decided.

What Wash Does to Contrast

High contrast is where a printed layer fails first, because the boundary between a dark shape and a pale ground is under the most stress every time the fabric flexes. With the pigment held within the weave there is no boundary to fail at, which is why a bold design like this one still reads as deliberate after a year rather than looking rubbed.

Where a Bold Print Disappears

Under mid tones, dark tones and denim a comic print does not read at all, which covers most of a normal week. Heavy outlines are the first thing a light cloth picks up, so this is the wrong choice beneath cream or white and an easy one everywhere else. It is cut in a short run, the slip in Small, Large and X-Large and the thong in X-Large, so settle the size before you settle the cut.
