A framed painting sitting on a pale ground, printed through the cloth rather than pressed onto it. Storms is the tee in this range where the artwork is presented as artwork: it has a border, it has edges, and the shirt around it is left quiet so the painting is looked at rather than worn as pattern.

Framed Rather Than Bled To The Edge

  • A border makes it read as a picture. Art that stops before the seam is seen as a piece hung on the shirt; art that runs off the edge is read as fabric design instead.
  • No panel, no stiffness. Because the image is dyed into the jersey, the framed area moves and breathes exactly like the rest of the shirt, with no printed square you can feel.
  • The pale ground keeps the frame visible. On a dark shirt the border would disappear into the body; here it holds the composition together.

What The Jersey Is Made Of

95% polyester with 5% elastane, composition varying by up to 1%, in a premium mid-weight jersey. Four-way stretch recovers on the cross and lengthwise grains, so the neckline holds its shape through repeated wear. Blank components in the US and Mexico are sourced from the US, EU components from Lithuania.

Pale Ground, Real Consequences

A light shirt shows what a dark one hides. This one asks for a wash after each wear rather than two, and polyester holds body oil at the collar more stubbornly than cotton, so a mark wants dealing with the same day. What you get in return is a print that never fades, because there is nothing on the surface to wear away.

Do Not Crowd The Frame

The composition needs space around it, so a jacket that cuts across the border does the shirt no favours. Worn open, or worn alone, the frame stays whole. Below the waist keep it plain: the painting is already the only thing that should be interesting.

Questions About A Framed Print

Does the frame print exactly the same on every shirt? Within a size, yes. Across sizes the print scales with the panel, so the framed area is proportionally similar rather than identical in inches.

Is the back printed? No. The frame sits on the front and the back is left plain.

Does the cut run true to size? No. There is an unusually wide gap between M and L on this blank, close to five inches against roughly three elsewhere, so a 40 to 42 inch chest takes L.

Size Guide

These are body measurements, not garment measurements. Run a tape around the fullest part of your chest with your arms down, keep it level, and match the figure below. Read this table before you order your usual size. The jump from M to L is nearly five inches, far wider than the gap between the other sizes, so a chest of 40 to 42 inches needs L rather than M.
