Hand-lettered wording on a coral jersey tee. Coral is the reason to pick this one: it is the only warm mid-tone in the range, which puts it between the shouting reds and the quiet charcoals, and it is a colour most men do not already own in a tee.

A Colour Most Wardrobes Are Missing

  • Coral fills the gap between loud and safe. Warmer than grey, calmer than red, so it reads as a considered choice rather than as a statement or a default.
  • Hand lettering does not look set. Drawn letterforms carry a maker's hand where a typeface reads as software output, and at this scale the difference is obvious.
  • Nothing cracks at the fold. The lettering is dyed into the cloth rather than pressed on, so there is no vinyl to split across the chest after a few washes.

Mid-Weight Jersey, Four-Way Stretch

95% polyester with 5% elastane, composition varying by up to 1%, in a premium mid-weight jersey that stretches and recovers on both the cross and lengthwise grains. The weight is the reason a saturated colour like coral looks solid rather than washed out: a lighter knit would let skin tone show through and pull the colour down. Blank components in the US and Mexico are sourced from the US, EU components from Lithuania.

Coral In Daylight Versus Indoors

Warm mid-tones shift more than neutrals do under different light. Expect it to read pinker indoors and more orange in sunlight, which is normal for the shade rather than a printing inconsistency, and worth knowing if you are matching it to something.

What Sits Under Coral

Denim in any wash, stone, khaki and white all work. Avoid red and avoid burgundy: both are close enough to coral to look like a failed match rather than a deliberate pairing, and the eye reads near-misses as mistakes.

Three Things About The Colour And The Cut

Will the coral fade? No. Sublimated dye sits inside the polyester rather than on it, so there is no pigment layer to wash away. Warm shades are usually the first to go on a surface-printed tee, which is exactly the failure this method avoids.

Is the lettering on the back too? No. The wording is on the front and the back is plain coral.

Does the cut run true to size? No. The step from M to L on this blank is close to five inches where the others are about three, so a 40 to 42 inch chest needs L.

Size Guide

These are body measurements, not garment measurements. Run a tape around the fullest part of your chest with your arms down, keep it level, and match the figure below. Read this table before you order your usual size. The jump from M to L is nearly five inches, far wider than the gap between the other sizes, so a chest of 40 to 42 inches needs L rather than M.
