A leaping figure on a turquoise ground. The figure is caught mid-air, and the empty space around it is doing as much work as the drawing, because a jump only reads as a jump when there is room above and below it. A design pushed to the edges would have lost the movement entirely.

Space Is Part Of The Design

  • The turquoise is not background, it is air. The open ground gives the figure somewhere to be jumping through, which is why the image reads as motion rather than as a shape.
  • Clean ground needs a clean edge. Sublimation keeps the outline of a single figure crisp against a flat color, where a surface print thickens the line and dulls the contrast.
  • Turquoise holds at full strength. Dye inside the fiber does not go chalky with washing, which is the usual fate of a bright mid-tone on a printed tee.

The Jersey Itself

95% polyester with 5% elastane, composition varying by up to 1%, in a premium mid-weight knit jersey with a cotton-touch hand. The four-way stretch recovers on the cross and lengthwise grains, and the cut is a regular fit rather than a fitted or an oversized one.

Regular Fit, And What That Means Here

Regular fit follows the body without gripping it. Read the table true to size and take the next size up only if you actively want it loose, because on this cut sizing up produces a shirt that hangs rather than a shirt with a bit more room.

Turquoise Is Its Own Accent

White, stone, black and indigo underneath. Turquoise is bright enough to be the accent in an outfit, so a second bright color leaves nothing for it to stand against. It also sits well under a plain blazer, since the figure is centered and does not get cropped by lapels.

Print, Fit And Washing

Is the figure on the front only? Yes. The drawing sits on the front and the turquoise carries around the rest of the garment.

Will the turquoise fade to a paler shade? No. Sublimation bonds the dye inside the polyester, so there is no pigment layer that can wash thinner over time.

Is a regular fit close-fitting? It follows the body without being snug. If you prefer a tee to skim rather than sit close, take the next size up; otherwise read the table straight.
