Plea comes from the Intrigue range. What is worth understanding on any panty before the print is the leg opening, because that edge decides more about how a pair feels through a day than the fabric does.

Where the Leg Opening Sits

  • The leg edge is finished flat, not on a band. A gathered elastic edge is what presses a line into the top of the thigh, and there is none here.
  • The waist is finished the same way, so neither edge grips. That is the single reason this style disappears under close-fitting clothing.
  • A 95% cotton gusset under a polyester and elastane outer, which puts the cotton exactly where skin contact matters.
  • Four-way stretch so the knit gives across the body as well as along it, and the leg opening moves with you rather than resisting.

What Sitting Does to Fabric

Most of what wears a panty out happens sitting down, not walking. The waist folds, the leg opening is pulled across the thigh, and a gathered edge takes all of that load on a narrow strip of elastic. A flat finish spreads it across the whole panel instead, which is why this construction outlasts a banded one even though it looks less substantial.

Before You Order

Does the leg edge roll? A flat finished edge has nothing gathered in it to roll, which is the usual cause. What can still happen is riding up when the knit is worn tight, so the band your measurement actually lands in is the one to take.

Slip or thong? The waist construction is identical, so the fit across the hip does not change. The slip covers the rear fully; the thong removes that edge entirely.
