Pumpkin is a Halloween design, and its two cuts are made in different sizes. That is worth putting up front rather than at the bottom of a spec list, because a size you cannot get is the most useful thing to know before you click.

What a Split Size Run Means

  • The cuts do not match. The slip is made in Small, Medium and X-Large; the thong in Medium and Large.
  • The garment itself is unchanged. Same 83% polyester and 17% elastane outer, same 95% cotton gusset, same flat edges at leg and waist.
  • The two cuts fit identically at the hip, so if your size is absent in one it is worth checking the other before giving up on the design.
  • Four-way stretch gives a little tolerance either side of a size boundary, which matters more when the run has gaps in it.

Why Orange Is Demanding

Orange sits between red and yellow and the eye is unusually good at spotting when it drifts toward either one. A surface print loses saturation unevenly as the layer wears, and on orange that reads as the shade changing rather than fading. Sublimation drives the color into the yarn, so there is no film to thin and the tone stays where the design put it. The knit is what ages instead, which is what the care routine protects.

Beyond the Last Week of October

A pumpkin is fall shorthand more than it is a single date, which gives it a longer natural season than a motif tied to one evening. It reads as harvest color through September, October and November, and since nothing shows through an ordinary layer, the calendar is a suggestion rather than a rule. The two obvious moments are a party and a dress-up night where what is underneath is half the gag, and the honest third one is simply liking orange.

Before You Order

Why do the two cuts run different sizes? They are made that way. If the size you need is absent in one cut, check the other, since the hip fit is identical between them.

Will the print survive washing? The color is part of the thread rather than a coating over it, so there is nothing to crack or peel. Washing gently is what protects the elastane and therefore the fit.
