Yellow, orange and red painting on a one-piece with a cheeky cut. Cheeky is a specific amount of coverage and it is worth knowing exactly what it means before ordering, because it is the single most common reason a swimsuit goes back: it sits between a full-coverage brief and a thong, showing more of the seat than a standard swimsuit and considerably less than a high-cut one.

The Cut, Stated Plainly

  • Cheeky through the seat. Moderate rear coverage. If you normally choose full-coverage swimwear, this will feel briefer than you expect.
  • Scoop neck at the front. A rounded, moderate neckline rather than a plunge or a high neck.
  • Low scoop at the back. The back drops well below the shoulder blades, which rules out most bras underneath and makes the back a deliberate part of the design.

Warm Colour In Water

Yellow, orange and red hold their intensity in sunlight in a way cool colours do not, and water amplifies that: a warm print reads brighter wet than dry. The dye is inside the fibre, so neither sun nor chlorinated water takes anything off it.

What Holds It Together

82% polyester with 18% elastane at 6.78 oz per square yard, chlorine-resistant, four-way stretch, double-layer front, zig-zag stitching.

Sun Is Harder On Swimwear Than Water

Chlorine gets the blame, but prolonged UV and sitting on hot rough surfaces do more damage to elastane than a pool does. Rinsing after every swim and drying flat in shade rather than in direct sun is what actually extends the life of a suit.

Before You Order

How much coverage is cheeky? Moderate at the rear, less than a standard full-coverage swimsuit and more than a high-cut or thong style.

Can I wear a bra with it? No. The back is a low scoop, which leaves nowhere for straps or a band to sit.

Will the yellow fade in the sun? The colour will not, because it is bonded into the fibre. What sun does damage is the elastane, which is why drying in shade matters.

Size Guide

These are body measurements, not garment measurements. Measure your chest at its fullest, your waist at its narrowest and your hips at their fullest, keeping the tape level. Take the size your largest measurement lands on. A one-piece has to clear all three at once, and if you fall between sizes anywhere, take the larger.
