A teal painting on a one-piece cut for the pool. Chlorine-resistant is the specification that decides how long this suit lasts, and it is not a marketing word. Chlorine attacks elastane specifically, and this suit is 18% elastane, which is exactly the fabric a pool would destroy fastest without that treatment.

What Chlorine Does And What Resistance Prevents

  • Chlorine breaks down the stretch fibre, not the polyester. An untreated suit goes baggy at the seat and loose at the leg openings long before its colour fades.
  • Resistance buys seasons rather than weeks. A regular swimsuit worn in a chlorinated pool several times a week has a short life; a resistant one is built for that use.
  • The colour is not at risk either way. Sublimated dye lives inside the fibre, so the print survives what the fabric survives.

Eighteen Percent Elastane, And Why So Much

82% polyester with 18% elastane at 6.78 oz per square yard. That is a very high stretch content, and swimwear needs it: a suit has to hold its shape wet, under load, with no fastenings, and the recovery has to come entirely from the cloth.

The Cut

Scoop neckline, low scoop back, cheeky fit through the seat, double-layer front, zig-zag stitching throughout. Zig-zag stitching is used on swimwear because a straight stitch snaps when the fabric stretches; a zig-zag stretches with it.

The Care That Actually Matters

Rinse it in fresh water after every swim and lay it flat to dry. Chlorine resistance slows the damage rather than removing it, and rinsing is what clears the chemical out of the fibre. Hanging a wet suit stretches it under its own weight; a dryer destroys elastane outright.

Before You Order

Does chlorine-resistant mean chlorine-proof? No. It resists the breakdown that chlorine causes rather than being immune to it, which is why rinsing after each swim still matters.

Can it go in the tumble dryer? No. Heat is what destroys elastane fastest, and a suit that has been through a dryer will not recover its shape.

How much back coverage is there? The back is a low scoop, so it sits well below the shoulder blades. This is a suit designed to be seen from behind as much as from the front.

Size Guide

These are body measurements, not garment measurements. Measure your chest at its fullest, your waist at its narrowest and your hips at their fullest, keeping the tape level. Take the size your largest measurement lands on. A one-piece has to clear all three at once, and if you fall between sizes anywhere, take the larger.
