This dress does two things at once that most only do one of. It is covered in gold sequins, and those sequins are set on fringe, so the surface both reflects and swings.

Two Layers of Light

A flat sequin dress throws light back in one plane. Put the sequins on hanging rows and every row catches at a slightly different angle, so the reflection breaks into pieces rather than arriving as one sheet.

Standing still it reads as a gold dress. Moving, it reads as something closer to liquid, which is the entire argument for fringe over a plain sequin finish.

How a Short Fringe Moves

Measure the bust at its fullest with the tape level under the arms, the waist at its narrowest, and the hip around the widest point, keeping the tape snug but not tight and taking every figure over what you intend to wear underneath.

Before You Order

How should it be stored? Hang it rather than folding it away. Pressure flattens the rows and folding tangles them, and neither recovers the way a plain cloth does.

Does gold work in daylight? It does, because sequins read as texture in daylight and only turn reflective under artificial light.
