The slimmest way to carry cards and still get them out fast is a pop up card holder. Telluride is TORONATA's take on it: a metal card case wrapped in leather that TORONATA lists as 100% full-grain, holding one to five cards that rise with one click of the lever, with a slanted cash pocket on the front and another on the back.

  • One to five cards. The case is cut for a short stack, which is what keeps it thin.
  • Click to lift. Press the lever at the base and the cards step up out of the top.
  • Two slanted pockets. A folded bill on one face, a spare card or a receipt on the other.
  • Four colors. Burnished tan, deep red, a mottled light brown and a pebbled yellow.

Front Pocket Pop Up Holder

This kind of holder is built for the front pocket. With the cards locked in a case and nothing folded, it stays the same thickness all day and slides in next to a phone without a bulge. Five cards is the honest limit, and that limit is what keeps it so thin: a license, two payment cards, a work badge and a transit card cover most days, and anything more belongs in a bigger wallet. The lever sits at the base, so you can thumb it open with one hand while the other holds a coffee.

Full-Grain Leather Around a Metal Case

TORONATA lists the cover as 100% full-grain leather, wrapped around the metal case that does the work. The case gives the cards a rigid shell, so they never bend in a back pocket or crack on a car seat. The leather gives the holder its warmth in the hand and its color, and the leather is what ages: the burnished tan darkens at the edges first, and the pebbled yellow keeps its bright face because the grain hides scratches. TORONATA also lists RFID blocking for the case, a shield for tap cards while they sit inside, and the same leather wraps all of it.

Cash Pockets on Both Faces

Each face carries a pocket cut on a slant, open at the top. A bill folded twice slides into one with its edge peeking out, ready for a tip or a parking meter. The slant is deliberate: it holds a folded bill snug at the deep end while leaving a corner to grab. Use the back pocket for a business card or a folded receipt, and the holder becomes a complete kit for a night out.

Telluride Card Holder Day to Day

Which cards suit the metal case? Flat, standard bank cards. Raised embossed numbers can catch on the case, so keep an old embossed card in the outer pocket instead.

Will cards fall out if I hold it upside down? No. The case holds them until the lever is pressed, and only then do they rise.

Who should switch to one? TORONATA cuts it for men and women alike, and it suits anyone moving from a thick wallet to a phone, keys and a few cards.
