The opening is balsamic rather than sharp, and then sandalwood and patchouli fill in underneath, one creamy and one earthy. What lasts is the smoky, faintly leathery signature people know instantly even when they cannot name it. Worn well it registers as gravity. Worn heavily it takes over a small room, which is why one spray is the honest starting point.
