Sandalwood Perfume

Sandalwood has a supply history that decides what you can actually buy today. Indian Mysore sandalwood has been protected for decades, so almost everything on the market now comes from Australian plantations or from synthetics built to stand in for it, and those run cleaner and thinner than the Indian original. Expect smooth and milky rather than the dense resinous version described in older perfume writing.
