Dense enough to finish in one pass, then it lets go and levels onto the plate. Those two properties pull against each other in most formulas, and getting both is what a one coat gel polish actually means.

Dense Enough For One Pass

Pigment load is the easy half. Push it high enough and any gel covers in one coat, but it also drags behind the brush and holds every stroke. DNKa 0043 carries the load and still relaxes, which is why the surface closes up in the seconds before the lamp.

It Levels Onto The Plate

A gel that levels sits down tight against the nail rather than doming in the middle and thinning at the edges. That matters for wear: the thinnest point is where a chip starts, and an even film has no thinnest point.

The DNKa Curing Ladder

Three different times sit in that table and they are not interchangeable. Color cures in a minute under LED; the top coat needs two. Undercuring a top coat is the most common cause of a set that dulls in a week, because the surface never fully hardens and it scuffs instead of polishing.

Glossy Or Matte From The Same Bottle

The shade does not decide the finish, the top coat does. DNKa Top No Wipe gives gloss, Top Matt No Wipe gives matte, and both go over this without changing the color underneath.

One Coat Has A Condition

The claim assumes an evenly prepared plate with a base under it. Over a ridge, a repair or a stained nail, one coat shows what is underneath. Degrease, prime with an acid free primer, base, then color; skipping the primer is where adhesion problems start rather than where coverage problems do.

DNKa 0043 Questions

What is an acid free primer for? It improves adhesion without etching the plate, which is why DNKa specifies Ultrabond before the base rather than an acid primer.

Can I skip straight to color over a bare nail? No. Without a base the pigment sits against the plate and adhesion and staining both suffer.

Why is the top coat cure longer than the color? A top coat is a thicker, clearer film and it needs more light energy to harden all the way through.
