Product Type: Gel Polish

Floating is a technique, and Plush is formulated for it. Instead of brushing product onto the nail you lay a thicker bead down and let it find its own level, which is only possible with a gel that does not wrinkle when it cures.

How Floating Works

Brushing pushes product and leaves stroke marks. Floating puts a measured bead near the cuticle and guides it with the tip of the brush, letting surface tension do the flattening. The finish comes out level because nothing dragged it, and the technique is faster once it clicks.

Why Most Gels Wrinkle And This One Does Not

A thick layer cures from the top down. If the surface hardens before the depth does, the film shrinks unevenly and the top crinkles. Luxio formulates Plush so it cures through a floated layer without wrinkling, which is the property that makes the technique usable rather than a gamble.

Butter Like Is A Working Description

It refers to how the gel moves under the brush: enough body to hold an edge at the cuticle, enough give to spread without pressure. That combination is what stops a coat flooding the sidewalls while still covering in one pass.

Pigments That Stay True Through The Lamp

Some colors shift as they cure, which is how a swatch ends up looking nothing like the bottle. Luxio states its pigments hold their shade, and on a system where you are matching to a client's chosen swatch that predictability is worth more than the shade itself.

Floating Has A Learning Cost

The first few sets floated will be too thick or too close to the cuticle. It is a hand skill, and the formula makes it possible rather than automatic. If you are used to brushing thin coats, brush thin coats with this too and pick the technique up later.

Luxio Plush Questions

What does floating mean? Laying a thicker bead and letting it level itself rather than brushing it out. This gel is built to cure through that without wrinkling.

Will a thick coat cure properly? Within reason, yes; that is the point of the formula. A very heavy layer still cures better as two.

Does the shade change after curing? Luxio states the pigments stay true, which is what makes it match a swatch reliably.
