This cashmere beanie by Portolano uses a honeycomb stitch, a raised texture of small cells that catches the light, above a ribbed cuff that folds up. Its label reads 100% cashmere, with a folded height of 8 inches, in one size that fits most. It comes in six colors: light camel, fire red, black, white, rose quartz and light gray.

  • Honeycomb texture. The stitch makes small pockets in the knit, which add depth to the color and hold warm air.
  • Ribbed fold-up cuff. The rib grips the head and doubles the knit over the ears.
  • Six shades to choose. From soft neutrals to a bold fire red, there is a color for every coat.

Cashmere Beanie Height and Fit

An 8 inch folded height covers the ears on most heads and leaves a little room at the crown, so the beanie sits neatly rather than tight. The ribbed cuff is the part that holds the hat in place, so it stays put without leaving a mark across the brow. Unfold the cuff for a slouchier look, or fold it twice for a shorter, fisherman style.
