Blush pink in a stretch cotton, with a tiny frill tracing the seam across the chest: this is the dress for days when you want to look put together and feel as if you are wearing almost nothing. The Kennedi is a loose babydoll mini with cap sleeves, a crew neck, frilled trim along the yoke and armholes, pockets and a curved hem.

  • Stretch cotton. 95% cotton with 5% elastane feels soft and moves with you.
  • Frilled yoke seam. A small frill along the chest seam adds detail without fuss.
  • Curved hem. The hem dips slightly lower at the back than the front.

A Babydoll Dress in Stretch Cotton

A babydoll dress fits at the shoulders and chest and then falls loose from a high seam. Nothing touches the waist or hips, which is why it is so comfortable on a long day. This one is cut in cotton with a little elastane, so it has the softness of cotton and enough give to move without strain when you reach, sit or carry a bag.

The frill along the yoke seam and around the cap sleeves is small and tidy, so the dress reads simple and sweet rather than frilly.

Blush as a Neutral

Blush is a soft pink that behaves like a neutral. It sits beside white, cream, tan, gray and denim without clashing, and it suits both gold and silver. A denim jacket, white sneakers and a straw bag make it an everyday outfit; tan sandals and gold hoops dress it up a touch.

The hem drops a little at the back, giving more coverage when you bend or sit. That small curve also makes the dress look lighter in motion than a straight hem would.

Cotton Care and Sizing

It comes in women's S (4/6), M (8/10), L (12/14) and XL (16/18), so a size 10 orders the M and a 14 orders the L. Shoulders and bust settle the size here, because nothing below them is fitted. Cotton can shrink a little in hot water and a hot dryer, so keep the wash cool and let it air dry; the elastane also lasts longer away from high heat.

Blush Babydoll Everyday Wear

Does stretch cotton wrinkle? A little at the lap after sitting. The elastane helps it spring back, and a minute of steam takes out the rest.

What color shoes go with blush? Tan, white, nude or soft gold. Black works too for a more graphic look.
