The Women's Belted Puffer Jacket in Tobacco is padded outerwear cut with a wrap front, a wide lapel and a matching belt, quilted in a diamond pattern. A puffer that closes by wrapping rather than by zipping is doing something different from most, and it is worth understanding before you buy.

Why a Wrap Front Changes a Puffer

A zip runs straight up the middle and divides the jacket in half. A wrap crosses one panel over the other, which removes that central line entirely and lets the belt define a waist where a puffer usually has none.

Measure the bust at its fullest with the tape level under the arms, the waist at its narrowest, and the hip around the widest point, keeping the tape snug but not tight and taking every figure over what you intend to wear underneath.

Measure over a knit rather than over a shirt, since nobody wears a winter coat against bare skin. A wrap front is more tolerant than a zip because there is no fixed closure to strain, but padding takes up real room, so between bands take the larger.
