There is a version of getting dressed where fragrance is the last thing you do, and it quietly decides how the rest of the evening feels. This one starts warmer than most men's bottles, because there is green apple sitting next to the bergamot instead of citrus on its own. That warmth is the difference between smelling groomed and smelling like the office.

How It Moves Through an Evening

The first twenty minutes are the brightest the fragrance ever gets, apple and bergamot together, and then it quietly changes character. The Apple Is the Difference

Fruit in a men's fragrance is rarer than it sounds, and it does something citrus alone cannot: it rounds the opening off instead of cutting with it. The apple here is crisp rather than sugary, closer to the skin of the fruit than the flesh, and it is the reason the first impression reads as considered rather than as fresh.

Where to Put It

Two or three sprays is the working amount, and a fourth adds volume rather than hours. Wrists, the base of the throat and behind the ears are warm, and that warmth carries the scent outward without any help from you. Do not rub your wrists together afterward. The friction destroys the lightest part of the opening, which is the part you chose the bottle for.
