The Plush Knit Jacket in Electric Blue is texture first and color second, though both are doing a lot. A deep pile surface in a saturated blue is about as loud as outerwear gets, and it is worth being clear about that before anything else.

What Plush Texture Does

A pile surface catches light along the tips of the fibers rather than off a flat plane, so the color shifts as the nap moves. Brush it one way and it reads darker; the other way and it lifts. That is depth no smooth fabric produces.

It also adds visual weight. A plush jacket looks bulkier than its actual thickness, which is worth knowing if you were expecting the volume to match the warmth.

How a Strong Blue Behaves

Electric blue sits at the cool end and stays there, so it goes with the cool neutrals — black, gray, white, denim — and argues with camel and cream. Most outerwear neutrals lean warm, so this one asks for a different half of the wardrobe than a coat usually does.

Against black it reads almost neon. Against gray it settles into something closer to considered. If you want the second effect rather than the first, keep the outfit mid-toned.

Is it real fur? No. BYMANYC states the pile is synthetic, not animal fur.

Does the pile flatten? Anywhere it is compressed for long — a seat back, a bag strap — the nap lies down and stays there. Give it hanging space and keep pressure off the shoulders.

What goes underneath? Something flat and thin. Texture on texture reads as bulk, and the jacket is already supplying all of it.
