Stripes and scallops rarely meet on one dress, and the result here is unexpectedly sweet. The Noah is a striped tiered midi dress in light blue and white pinstripes, with a scalloped edge on every tier, a crew neck with a short button placket, puff sleeves finished in little ruffled cuffs, and pockets.

  • Pinstripe reads pale blue. At a distance the stripes melt into one soft blue tone.
  • Scallops on each tier. Wavy edges replace a plain seam where the skirt widens.
  • Cotton in the blend. 35% cotton gives the polyester a softer, less slippery hand.

A Striped Dress That Softens

A striped dress can look strict, all nautical lines and sharp edges. This one softens on purpose. The stripes are thin and close together, so from a few feet away the dress reads as a gentle sky blue rather than a busy pattern, and the scallops at each tier interrupt the vertical lines with curves. You get the crisp, clean feel of a stripe with the charm of a sundress.

Vertical pinstripes also lengthen. They run the full height of the dress, and the tier seams are the only horizontal breaks, so the overall effect is long and narrow rather than wide.

Why the Blend Matters

Its blend runs 65% polyester to 35% cotton, a mix that behaves better than either fiber alone in summer: the cotton makes it softer against the skin than pure polyester, and the polyester means it wrinkles far less than a pure cotton shirt dress. A hanger overnight usually takes out what a day of sitting puts in.

The scalloped edges are the one part that rewards a little care. After washing, smooth each scallop flat with your fingers while the dress is damp and hang it to dry; any curl that remains presses out with a cool iron from the inside.

Puff Sleeves and Buttons

The short placket at the neck adds a shirt-like detail and breaks up the solid stripe across the chest. The puff sleeves end in a ruffled cuff above the elbow. White sneakers and a straw hat make it a pool day outfit; tan sandals and pearl studs turn it into a lunch date.

It comes in women's S (4/6), M (8/10), L (12/14) and XL (16/18), so a size 10 orders the M and a 14 orders the L. Your bust measurement decides it, because the tiers leave plenty of room below the placket.

Light Blue Stripes by the Pool

Will stripes make me look wider? Not these. Narrow vertical pinstripes pull the eye along the length; the widening effect people worry about comes from bold horizontal stripes.

Is light blue hard to keep clean? Easier than white. Light blue hides the faint grayness white picks up over time, and most everyday marks lift in a cool wash.

Can I tuck a phone in the pockets? Yes, they sit at hand height in the skirt, and the tiers hide the weight.
