Product Type: Rings

This wave ring rises over the top of the finger and dips again, and it parks a stone at each end of the curve: a small round CZ near the crest and a pear-shaped stone in the dip. It is a sculpted shape that looks busy in a close-up and turns out calm on the hand, because the whole ring weighs about 1.7 grams (0.06 oz).

  • Pear stone choices. Desiregem sets the 3 by 5 mm pear, about 1/8 by 1/5 inch, in hessonite garnet, green tourmaline or white zircon.
  • One CZ accent. A round cubic zirconia near the top of the curve adds a single white spark.
  • Open, airy shape. The band sweeps up into an open curve on top of the finger, so skin shows inside the loop and the ring never looks heavy.
  • Sizes 6 to 8. Desiregem makes it in US ring sizes 6, 7 and 8.

A Wave Ring That Stacks

A wave ring is a friendly shape for stacking because it leaves room beside it. The curve rises along the finger toward the knuckle, so a thin plain band can nest into the open side of the wave and the two read as one piece. Desiregem lists the metal as 18K gold plated brass.

Worn on its own it gives movement to a hand that is otherwise still: the line climbs, turns and settles, and the eye follows it from the white CZ to the colored pear.

White Zircon Is Not Cubic Zirconia

White zircon and cubic zirconia sound like the same thing and are not. Zircon is a mineral, zirconium silicate, known for strong fire and a slightly softer look across its facets. Cubic zirconia is a crystal grown in a lab from zirconium dioxide and is harder and crisper. On this ring you can see both side by side: choose the white zircon pear and the CZ accent sits right beside it, so you can tell them apart by eye.

The other two options bring color. Hessonite garnet is a warm cinnamon red that sits comfortably with the plating, and green tourmaline is a deep, saturated green that looks almost bottle green indoors.

Wave Ring Styling Notes

Can stack rings sit under a curved band? Put the curved ring in the middle and let straight bands follow its line above and below. A thin band tucks into the gap beside the curve; anything wider can sit next to it instead.

Which finger shows the wave best? The ring finger or middle finger, where the band has room to rise without touching the next ring over.

Where is the safest place to keep it? On its own, flat, in a soft pouch, so the curve is not bent by heavier pieces. Plating is a thin layer over the brass, so take the ring off for showers, swimming and hand washing, let lotion and perfume dry before it goes back on, and store it on its own in a dry pouch.
