Most sneakers put the color on the upper and leave the sole white. This pair inverts that: a green and black upper sitting on a bright yellow sole, so the loudest part of the shoe is the part touching the ground.

Why the Sole Is the Signal

Putting the color underneath changes how the shoe reads when you are wearing it rather than looking at it on a shelf. From standing height the upper is what you see and it is relatively dark; the yellow only appears when the foot moves. The shoe is quiet at rest and loud in motion.
