Red and white marbled across the canvas, printed flat and then cut and hand-stitched. This is the cleanest print in the men's range. The marbling is smooth and bright rather than distressed, so the pair reads as new rather than as deliberately aged.
Classic Palette, Printed Instead Of Plain
- Red and white is the sneaker default. The pair slots into an outfit the way a plain white trainer would, while still carrying a design.
- The veining cannot crack. Sublimation puts the dye inside the fibre instead of layering it on the surface, so the pattern stays intact where the shoe folds.
- The pale panel most at risk is capped. Faux leather covers the toe, which matters far more on a light ground than on a dark one.
Cushioning And Closure
A 100% polyester canvas upper on an EVA rubber outsole. EVA is foamed rather than solid rubber: it cushions the step and bends with the foot without the weight of a vulcanized sole. Cushioning runs the full way round the collar, which decides whether a high top is still comfortable at the end of a long day. Breathable lining and a soft insole inside, with lacing that runs the full height so the ankle can be tightened or left loose.
A Light Ground Asks More Of You
A damp cloth and a little soap keeps the canvas clean, and on a pale print that routine matters more than on a dark one. Keep the pair out of the washing machine. The print would come through fine; the bonded sole on a hand-built shoe would not.
A glue smell when the box is opened is normal, comes from hand assembly, and clears in a few days with the pair left out in the air.
One Red In The Outfit Is Enough
Red and white is the classic sneaker palette, so this pair works under indigo denim, black, grey and navy without any thought. Avoid pairing it with another red garment; the shoe already owns that colour in the outfit and a second one splits the attention.
Be Honest About The Upkeep
Is this a low-maintenance shoe? No, and that is worth knowing before ordering. A pale marbled canvas needs wiping down regularly to stay looking the way it does in the photographs. If the shoe has to survive neglect, a light ground is the wrong choice.
Will the white stay white? Not without help. The pale areas mark sooner than a dark canvas would, which is the cost of the clean look. Cleaning a scuff off the day it happens is what keeps the marbling sharp, and the toe cap already covers the spot most likely to take a hit.
Do the two shoes carry matching veins? No. The marbling is printed across one continuous panel and cut afterwards, so the veins run differently on each shoe. On a marbled design that variation is the effect rather than a flaw.
Size Guide
Stand on a sheet of paper and measure heel to longest toe, then match the length below rather than ordering your usual number. Foot length is rounded to the nearest quarter inch, so five pairs of neighboring sizes read the same. If you fall between two, take the larger.
