Orange and blue laid out like a canyon seen from above, printed flat and then cut and hand-stitched into a high top. This is the only print in the range that reads as a landscape rather than as abstract brushwork, which is why it carries more depth than the others: the layered bands give the eye somewhere to travel instead of a single field of colour.
Depth Is The Difference Here
- Layered bands hold the eye. An abstract print is read in one glance; a landscape has near and far in it, so the shoe keeps rewarding a second look.
- The canvas texture stays visible. Sublimation dyes the cloth rather than sitting on top, so the weave shows through the colour instead of reading as a printed sticker.
- The toe takes the damage. A faux leather cap covers the exact area canvas wears through, so scuffs never land on the landscape.
Built Light On Purpose
A 100% polyester canvas upper on an EVA rubber outsole. EVA is foamed rather than solid rubber, so it absorbs the step and flexes with the foot at a fraction of the weight a vulcanized sole would carry. Cushioning runs the full circumference of the collar, which decides whether a high top stays comfortable through a long day on your feet. Breathable lining and a soft insole inside, with lacing to the top of the ankle so the fit closes where it matters.
Care Without A Machine
A damp cloth and a little soap keeps the canvas clean. Do not machine wash the pair. The print would come through it, but the sole is bonded on a hand-built shoe and the adhesive is the part that gives.
Expect a glue smell when the box is first opened. It comes from hand assembly and it clears within a few days if the pair is left out in open air.
The Sunset Pairing Explains The Denim
Orange and blue is the same combination a sunset makes, which is why it looks natural rather than engineered. Denim is the obvious partner because the blue in the print picks up the blue in the jeans, and warm neutrals like camel, tan and cream lift the orange without competing with it.
Terracotta Or Neon, And Why It Will Not Look Flat
Is the orange burnt or bright? Bright, with warmth rather than neon in it. It sits closer to a terracotta at the deeper bands and closer to a clear orange at the lighter ones, which is what gives the landscape its depth.
Will the print look flat in person compared with the photographs? No. Sublimation dyes the cloth rather than sitting on it, so the colour keeps the texture of the canvas underneath rather than reading as a printed sticker, which is the usual complaint with surface-printed shoes.
Does the design continue across both shoes as one picture? Not as a single joined image. The artwork is printed on one continuous panel and cut afterwards, so each shoe carries a different section of the same landscape rather than one half of it.
Size Guide
Stand on a sheet of paper and measure heel to longest toe, then match the length below rather than ordering your usual number. Foot length is rounded to the nearest quarter inch, so some neighboring half sizes read the same. If you fall between two, take the larger.
