Product Type: Body Butter

Titanium dioxide is what makes this one opaque white instead of pearly, and AMINNAH lists it on no other jar. Birthday Cake Whipped Body Butter is tinted with a pigment rather than a shimmer, so what you scoop out looks like frosting and behaves like frosting, with none of the catch of light the mica-tinted jars have.

  • Flat white, no sparkle. The only jar here tinted with titanium dioxide rather than mica.
  • Organic shea leads the blend. Cocoa and mango butter sit behind it, with jojoba oil and vitamin E.
  • Written for every skin type. The maker lists normal, dry, combination and oily.
  • It will not survive a warm car. AMINNAH prints the melting warning on this one itself.

Pigment Instead Of Shimmer

Mica reflects, pigment covers. That single difference is why this jar photographs as a solid cream while several of the jars beside it read as slightly iridescent. Nothing about the moisturizing changes; the titanium dioxide is doing a visual job and nothing else. If you have avoided this range because you did not want shimmer on your skin, this is the one to start with.

Sponge And Frosting, Not Vanilla Extract

Vanilla in perfumery usually means the sweet resinous note. Here it is the baked version, closer to a warm kitchen than to a vanilla pod, with the buttercream sitting over the top of it. That makes it heavier and rounder than a plain vanilla, and it also makes it linger, because bakery notes are among the slowest to fade from skin.

A Full Butter Base Under The Scent

Organic shea, cocoa butter, mango butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E. Six working ingredients is toward the richer end of what AMINNAH blends, and it shows in how long the skin stays comfortable rather than in how thick the product feels. Rub it between your palms for a few seconds before it touches skin and it spreads roughly twice as far.

Warm Rooms Are The Real Enemy

The maker prints a melting warning on this product, which most of the range does not carry. Above room temperature the whipped structure collapses and returns as a smooth cream once it cools. The product is unharmed and works exactly as before, but the texture you paid for is gone. A bathroom shelf away from a radiator is the right home for it, and a windowsill in July is not.

Questions About Birthday Cake Body Butter

Does the titanium dioxide leave a white cast? Not on skin. It tints the product in the jar and disappears as the butter is worked in.

Is it too sweet for daytime? Bakery scents carry further than fruit ones. A thin layer on limbs is fine at a desk; a full application before a meeting is noticeable.

Can oily skin use something this rich? AMINNAH lists oily among the skin types it suits. On the body that holds; on the face, use less than you think you need.
