Knit Dress

Weight is the whole specification on a knit dress, and it is the number most often left out. A light knit follows the body closely enough to show everything under it, while a heavy one hangs from the shoulder and skims past. Fiber content tells you about warmth and care but almost nothing about which of those two dresses you are buying. If the weight is given in grams per square meter, that single figure predicts the fit better than the silhouette description does.
