Cat Bed

Cats choose a bed for cover and for a view, not for how soft it is. An enclosed cave gives a small animal walls on three sides and one exit it can watch, which is why a cat will pick a cardboard box over an open cushion. If a bed has been ignored, the usual fix is location and enclosure rather than a more comfortable replacement: put it somewhere with its back to a wall and a clear line of sight to the door.
