Product Type: Baby Carriers

It goes in the washing machine. On a garment that catches every spill, every dribble and everything a toddler wipes on the nearest adult, that is worth more than most of the features it is sold on.

It Goes In The Washing Machine

Most carriers are spot clean, because foam padding and rigid seats do not survive a drum. A washable carrier gets washed, and one that has to be sponged around the edges gets worse every month until it is replaced.

Drawstrings Instead Of Buckles At The Sides

Side drawstrings adjust in small increments rather than in the fixed steps a buckle ladder gives you. That means you can tune the fit to the millimeter rather than choosing between one notch too loose and one too tight, which on a carrier worn for an hour is the whole comfort question.

The Waistband Is Where The Weight Lands

On a hip seat the entire load transfers through the belt. A wide band spreads that across more of your middle, and the cushion sits between the hard edge of the seat and your abdomen. Narrow belts are why some people find hip seats unbearable after twenty minutes.

An Anti Slip Seat Surface

A cushioned shelf with a grippy face, so a child in smooth pants does not slide forward off it. That is a small material choice that decides whether you spend the walk holding them on or just steadying them.

Quick Release For Getting Out Fast

One motion off, which matters when a toddler decides mid street that they are getting down now. It also means you are not fighting a buckle one handed with a wriggling child on the seat.

Thirty Pounds Is The Ceiling

Rated to 30 pounds and from three months, so it is not a newborn carrier and it stops before the heaviest toddler years. Weigh the child rather than guessing from age, and stop using it at the rated limit rather than at the point it feels heavy. Read the manual before the first use and ask your pediatrician if you are unsure about positioning.

Machine Washable Carrier Questions

Can it really go in a machine? Yes, the fabric is machine washable, which is unusual in this category.

From what age? Three months, up to 30 pounds or about three years.

How does it adjust? Side drawstrings for fine tuning, with a Velcro and buckle closure at the waist.
