A printed fanny pack in water-resistant polyester, 13 inches wide and 6.5 inches tall. The dimension that matters is the 2¾ inch depth, because that is what decides whether a phone, a wallet and keys sit side by side or stack on top of each other and make the bag bulge.
Small Enough To Stay Out Of The Way
- Thirteen inches across is wide, not deep. The bag spreads its contents along the waist rather than pushing them forward, which is what keeps it from catching on things.
- Water-resistant polyester handles the day. Rain, splashes and sweat at the waistband are what a bag worn against the body actually meets, and the fabric is finished for all three.
- The strap adjusts to 1¼ inches wide. Wide enough not to dig in when the bag is loaded, adjustable enough to sit at the waist or drop to the hips.
The Zip Has Two Sliders
The top zip carries two sliders, which means it opens from either side or in the middle. On a bag worn at the waist that is genuinely useful: you can open the end nearest your dominant hand rather than reaching across yourself.
The Inner Pocket Is Not Zipped
There is a small pocket inside, and it is worth being clear about it: it has no zip of its own. It separates a card or a key from the main compartment so they are not loose among everything else, but it does not secure them independently. The main top zip is what closes the bag.
Worn Across Rather Than Round
At 13 inches wide the strap is long enough to wear across the chest as well as at the waist, which is how most people carry this shape now. Across the body it also sits where you can see it, which is the reason it became the travel bag of choice.
Practical Answers
Will a large phone fit? The compartment is 13 inches wide and 6.5 tall, so a phone lies flat easily. Depth of 2¾ inches is what limits how much sits alongside it.
Is the inner pocket secure? It organises rather than secures. It has no zip, so anything valuable is held by the main top zip rather than by the pocket itself.
Can it be worn across the chest? Yes. The 1¼ inch strap adjusts long enough for cross-body wear as well as at the waist.
