A green and yellow foliage print on a 20 litre backpack. Twenty litres is the number that decides whether this bag suits you, and litres are hard to picture, so the useful translation is the shape: 16.1 inches tall, 12.2 wide and 5.5 deep. That depth is the figure most people misjudge.
What Twenty Litres Is And Is Not
- It is a full day-pack, not a weekend bag. Enough for a laptop, a jacket, lunch and a water bottle, and not enough for a change of clothes on top of those.
- Depth of 5.5 inches is the real constraint. Height and width are generous; the bag is deliberately slim front to back, which keeps it close to the body rather than sticking out on a train.
- It is rated to 44 lb. That is a genuine structural limit rather than a marketing figure, and it is far more than 20 litres of most things weighs.
Fabric And Finish
100% polyester at 9.56 oz per square yard with a water-resistant exterior, a silky interior lining and piped hems. Piped hems matter on a printed bag: a bound edge is what stops a seam fraying at the corners, which is where a backpack always wears first.
Print On A Bag Behaves Differently
A backpack is seen from behind, by other people, while you are walking away. That is the opposite of most printed things you own, and it is worth choosing a design you are happy to be recognised by rather than one you like looking at.
Where It Falls Short
Water resistant is not waterproof and the zips are unsealed. This bag handles a walk in drizzle. In sustained rain the contents need their own protection, particularly anything electronic.
Capacity Questions
Is 20 litres enough for a day at work? For a laptop, charger, notebook, lunch and a bottle, yes. For gym kit on top of those, it will be tight.
Can it be used as carry-on? At 16.1 by 12.2 by 5.5 inches it is within the personal-item allowance of most airlines, but every carrier sets its own limits, so check yours against those figures.
Does the print cover the whole bag? The design is printed across the outer panels rather than sitting as a logo, so it reads as a patterned bag rather than a plain one with a graphic.
