Product Type: Earrings

Allpa takes the idea of a hoop and draws it freehand. Each earring is a rounded teardrop outline about 3 cm high and 3 cm wide, roughly 1.2 inches, with two arcs crossing inside the lower half like overlapping arches. The metal is sterling silver plated with 24K gold, and a fine wire at the top passes through the lobe to close the shape.

  • Open outline. Skin and hair show through the shape, so it looks lighter than a solid earring of the same size.
  • 24K plating. The richest, most yellow shade of gold sits on the surface.
  • Sterling silver base. If the plating ever softens with years of wear, silver shows beneath, not a darker base metal.
  • Arcs low and forward. On the ear the inner arcs sit at the bottom, where the eye lands first.

Geometric Earrings That Wear Easily

Geometric earrings can feel like hard work, all sharp corners and big statements. This pair is the softer side of the trend: the teardrop has no corners at all, only curves, and the inner arcs give it the architectural look without any edge to catch on a sweater. At 1.2 inches it hangs neatly below the lobe, the same footprint as a mid-size classic hoop, so it slips into the same outfits.

The open design makes it a good choice for people who find solid metal earrings heavy, because most of the earring is air.

Why 24K Over Sterling Silver Matters

Most plated jewelry puts gold over brass or copper. Here Allpa uses sterling silver as the core, which changes what happens over time. Gold plating thins with friction wherever skin, cloth and hair rub it, and on this pair a worn spot reveals bright silver rather than a darker, coppery metal, so the earring ages gracefully instead of turning dull and dark. A soft cloth after each wear and a separate spot in the jewelry box both slow that process down.

Wearing Allpa's Teardrop Hoops

How do the geometric hoops close? A thin wire at the top of each teardrop threads through the piercing and settles into the opposite side of the outline, so there is no separate back to lose.

What is 24K gold plating? It is a layer of 24K gold, the purest form, bonded to the sterling silver underneath. It gives a deeper, warmer yellow than 14K or 18K plating, which contain other metals.

Do geometric earrings suit a round face? Yes, and a teardrop is a good match, because the long, narrowing outline leads the gaze downward and lengthens a softer face shape.
