Product Type: Necklaces

Three rounded petals in polished 18K gold plating open around a single 4mm stone, and the flower is linked right into the chain at two points, so it faces forward all day. Choose a garnet, amethyst, green onyx or moissanite center; the chain adjusts from 15 to 17 inches and keeps the flower high on the neck.

  • Faces forward always. Linked at two sides, the flower cannot flip or spin around.
  • Moissanite for sparkle. Its fire beats a diamond's, so the clear center flashes color.
  • Sits at the collarbone. At 15 to 17 inches it stays inside most necklines.

A Flower Necklace with Three Petals

A flower necklace can tip toward sweet or toward sharp, and three petals land it neatly in between. The petals are domed and polished, so each one throws back light from its own angle, and the tiny stone in the middle reads like the heart of the bloom.

The 4mm center, about 0.16 inch, is held by prongs, which leaves the sides of the stone open and lets it sparkle more than its size suggests.

A Gemstone Heart for the Bloom

Garnet gives a deep red heart that looks vintage in the best way. Amethyst adds violet, soft and a little romantic. Green onyx makes the flower look fresh, almost like a leaf caught in the middle. Moissanite is the sparkler: it has more than twice the colored fire of a diamond, and with a Mohs hardness of 9.25 it shrugs off daily wear.

Desiregem lists the metal as 18K gold plated brass, a layer of gold over a brass base rather than solid gold.

Under Collars and Crew Necks

At 15 inches the flower rests right under the throat and peeks out from under a buttoned shirt collar; at 17 it sits just above a crew neckline, so the petals show on skin instead of disappearing into the knit. Add a longer chain or pendant below it when you want a stack, and the short flower will stay on top.

Gemstone Flower Necklace Wear

Is moissanite the same as a diamond? No. Moissanite is silicon carbide, a different material that looks diamond white from a distance but flashes more rainbow color up close, which many people prefer on a small stone.

When are flower necklaces most popular? US searches for flower necklaces rise every April and May, along with spring outfits, but a gold plated flower with a single stone looks just as right with fall knits.

Will it go with minimal outfits? Yes. One small flower on a fine chain is a single detail, so it works with plain tees, simple dresses and tailored shirts without competing with them.
