Halter Gown

A halter covers the front while opening the shoulders and the back completely, which is the opposite trade to a strapless cut and often the more useful one. The cost is that the neck carries the load instead of the ribcage, and a heavy skirt on a narrow halter band becomes noticeable somewhere in the third hour. A wider band, or a beaded one, spreads that weight across more of the shoulder.
