Bath Towel

A bath towel is doing two jobs that pull against each other: absorbing a great deal of water quickly, then giving all of it back to the air before the next use. The first is a question of pile and size, the second is entirely a question of where it hangs, which is why a good towel folded over a narrow rail performs worse than an ordinary one hung with air on both sides. Buy the size that wraps you completely, since a towel that has to be held closed is a towel used with one hand.
