Anti-tip furniture is furniture that arrives with the hardware to fasten it to a wall, and the tag marks the pieces where that hardware is not optional. Tall storage tips for a mechanical reason rather than a dramatic one: open a drawer and the loaded weight moves outside the footprint, and if a child then pulls or climbs on that open drawer, the whole unit rotates forward. Fitting the supplied strap takes a few minutes at assembly and removes the failure entirely, which is why every piece in this tag comes with it in the box.

Why Tall and Narrow Tips
Stability is a footprint question. A piece that is taller than it is wide already has a high center of gravity, and every drawer that slides out carries its contents forward, beyond the front feet. Add a child's weight on an open drawer, a bump from a vacuum, or an uneven floor, and the balance point crosses the front edge. Nothing about the build quality changes that geometry, which is the part people miss: a well-made tall dresser tips exactly as readily as a cheap one if it is standing free.
- Height over width is the flag. More height than footprint means the strap is not optional.
- Open drawers move the weight. Contents slide forward, past the front feet.
- Climbing is the trigger. An open drawer looks like a step to a small child.
- Quality does not change geometry. A solid build tips on the same physics as a flimsy one.
The Anchor Needs Solid Backing
A strap is only as good as what it is screwed into. In a stud wall the fixing goes into the timber stud itself, found with a detector or by tapping for the solid line rather than guessed at; drywall alone will pull out under exactly the load the strap exists to resist. In masonry the screw takes a proper plug. Run the strap with only slight slack so the piece can sit flush without the strap being permanently tensioned, and fit it while the unit is still empty and light enough to pull away from the wall.
- Find the stud. Timber or masonry takes the load; drywall alone does not.
- Plug into masonry. A brick or block wall needs the right plug behind the screw.
- Slight slack only. Enough to sit flush, not enough to let the top travel.
- Fit before loading. An empty unit is easy to move; a full one is not.
Loading Is Part of the Safety
How a piece is filled changes how hard the anchor has to work. Heavy items belong in the bottom drawers and on the lowest shelves, where they lower the center of gravity instead of raising it. Opening one drawer at a time is a habit worth keeping, since two or three open at once move a lot of weight forward together. And a television on top of a dresser needs its own fixing rather than relying on its stand, because a screen is the highest and most tempting thing in the room.
- Heavy goes low. Weight in the bottom drawers is weight working for you.
- One drawer at a time. Several open together push the balance point forward.
- Screens get their own fixing. A television needs anchoring separately from the furniture.
- Re-check after a move. Any relocation means finding the stud again.
Which Pieces Carry It
In this range the hardware ships with the tall drawer towers and fabric dressers covered on the dresser page, with the metal frame and etagere shelving on the bookcase page, and with the sideboard and console pieces whose height and slim depth put them in the same category. Treat the strap as part of the assembly instructions rather than an accessory, and fit it in any room a child uses even when the piece feels immovable. Browse what ships with it across dressers and storage.
- Drawer towers ship with it. The tallest, narrowest pieces are the ones that need it most.
- Shelving units too. Open metal frames tip as readily as closed cabinets.
- Slim consoles count. Shallow depth is what makes a low piece unstable.
- Fit it regardless. The weight that tips a unit is the weight you add later.
