Green is the smell of a cut stem and a crushed leaf rather than of a flower, and it produces the sharpest openings in perfumery. The materials behind it, galbanum and the leaf alcohols, are bitter and slightly cold, which is why green gets filed under clean when bracing would be the better word. Choose it when you want something that reads deliberate rather than comfortable.
